oh Christmas Tree...

I love, love Christmas.
The Meaning, the decorations,
the traditions, the food, the crafts, the lights,
just everything about this holiday!
We are excited to have Christmas at our house this year, and
I started at the beginning of November getting ready!
Here is our tree decorated before Thanksgiving.
(I will have better pictures of the tree later)
I bought ornaments that I knew Mason could take off and on.
I put those ornaments near the bottom.
Here is Mason checking one of the ornaments out.
 Slowly taking the ornament off..
...and he is running away with the ornament.
Hopefully, the tree will last until Christmas!

a BIG box.

Since Heath killed a doe this weekend, we got an early Christmas present....
a freezer!
Of course the box is just the coolest thing to Mason.
 Running through the box...
yelling "Vroom" with his car.

Mason looks so big in this picture.
Pushing his car through the box.
Closing the door.

no pictures?

I looked at my camera after Thanksgiving to realize I hadn't taken any pictures since Halloween.
I didn't even take a picture on Thanksgiving.
Oh no, what's wrong? Yes, I have pictures (and videos) on my phone.
BUT no pictures on the camera.
This hasn't happened since Mason was born.
Then I was watching Mason run, and yes I mean run through the house.
I realized I hadn't been taking as many pictures. I haven't even thought about taking pictures.
I have been too busy chasing Mason. I have been busy throwing a ball.
I have been busy cleaning up his many messes.
I have been laying around with him on the couch reading books.
I have been laughing at all the crazy things he does, daily.
I have been building tents with blankets.
I have been busy trying to journal all the funny, cute moments.
AND I couldn't be any happier.
Yes, I still love to take pictures of my little man.
It has been nice to set the camera down and capture memories in my heart.
I will be posting pictures soon, if I can catch him :)

Raisins.

Playing & Learning.
While we were in South Dakota, we have limited
stuff to keep us busy throughout the day.
I love using household items to create activities for Mason.
Measuring cups- Plastic Canister-Raisins
These three items kept Mason busy while I was cooking.
Look at this cute serious face.
It is amazing how kids would rather be playing with this
than all the expensive toys.

update.

We are still here! After my mom left, we decided to go to South Dakota. We have been spending time with Heath. The bad part is I don't have internet until Heath gets home, then I have school work to do so it doesn't leave much time for blogging. My iPhone doesn't even have great internet service while I'm
here :( There isn't a lot do here, so we have just been relaxing and reading. Mason has been running around, chasing Maci Dog. Heath is busy at work. Oh, and the temperatue is in the 20s! No fun.

Memaw.

Mason and I spent the weekend with Memaw.
Mason danced.
Mason showed Memaw the fish at Cabela's.
Mason showed off at My Gym.
Mason did all his animal noises and moves.
Mason chased Maci dog.
We started decorating for Christmas.

We enjoyed having Memaw for the weekend!

playing outside.

After Cabela's we played outside.
Mason loves to push toys...
so he spends most of the time just pushing a toy
 up and down the driveway.

day with daddy.

Driving Daddy's Rental Car...
a brand new Mustang!
Then we had breakfast at Chick-Fil-A,
and Mason played.
Then we went to Cabela's to see the "ish"
(Mason is screaming "ish ish ish" in this picture)
Just watching the fish
Telling Daddy about the Fish.

and showing Daddy the fish.

Wal-Mart.

I went to Wal-mart the other day to pick up
stuff for Heath's birthday party.
Mason was sitting in the buggy.
(for my Kansas friends that is a cart)
Then, he decided he would relax.
He was just relaxing and waving at people that walked by.
Then we went to the Christmas section.
I am super excited about Mason's Christmas this year so
we were checking all the decorations out.
...and then we saw the antlers.

My Gym...fun!

Have you noticed how much I like My Gym?
It is such a fun place for kids.
Mason gets excited when we walk through the door.

Mason getting ready to throw the ball.
(See all the different things for kids to do in this picture.)
 Just watching.
 Our My Gym Model.

He likes to slide.

Mason's Artwork.

A picture Mason colored at a playgroup a couple weeks ago.
Of course, it is an "ish."
And it is on the refrigerator
along with the turkeys he colored on Tuesday.

Mommy's helper.

I was folding laundry, and Mason decided to help me.
He took the nicely folded clothes and opened the drawer.
Stuffed the shirts in the drawer.
Then tried to close the drawer.
Such a good little helper!

"ish"

"Ish Ish Ish"
I hear it all day long.
Mason is crazy about fishes right now.
It started when we received a book called
Bedtime Kiss for Little Fish
from Parents as Teachers.
(and probably all the trips to Cabela's aquarium)
Now he can spot a picture of a fish on anything.
We are reading books about fishes, and
Mason enjoys finding all the fishes throughout the book.
We have read all the Bible stories that include a fish.
While we were in South Dakota,
we decided to buy Mason a couple of goldfish.
He enjoyed looking at the "ish."
We really just don't have the time to take care of fish since
we are going back and forth to SD.
I have been trying to think of ways Mason can see fish.
I took Mason to Petco so we could at the fish there.
He was so excited to see all the fish.
I bet everyone could hear him screaming "ish ish ish"
Mason also looked at the other animals.
Here Mason is kissing the ferret.
We are planning to go to Cabela's to check out the big fish,
and maybe a trip to Cheddars...they do have fish in an aquarium!

Miss Faith

 Mason's friend, Faith.
At first they just ran around and didn't really play with each other,
but now they are starting to pay attention to each other.
They usually want to play with the same toy.
The other day Faith and her mom, Rachel, came over.

Mason and Faith jumping in the crib.

Tired from all the playing.
Then one day we went to Rachel's so Mason and Faith could play.

Why a Pirate?

Mason was a pirate because he stole mommy's heart!
Rrrrr!
