Zoo with Mimi

We went to the Knoxville Zoo with Mimi.
Waiting for ice-cream.
Mason liked the elephants, giraffes, and zebras.
Watching the animals while eating a Push Pop...
doesn't get much better.
Looking at the monkeys with Mimi.
Hollering at Daddy and Mimi.
Having fun at the Zoo.

Enjoying TN.

We had great weather for most of this trip. Mason enjoyed playing outside.
Here are pictures with all his visitors throughout the week.
With the Great Grandparents.
Playing with Papaw Jeff.
Mason found some tractors to play with.
Then Mason put the tractors in the grass so
we all had to search for them.
Playing the drum with Mimi.
Blowing kisses to Nana.
Pushing Mimi.
Throwing the football.
Watching the Choo Choo.
Watching another Choo Choo with Mimi.

Daddy's Turkey

Helping daddy look for turkeys.

Daddy got a turkey! Maci dog checking it out.
Pop measuring the beard.
Heath and Mason.
The Hunters.
Mason trying to figure this turkey out.
Then he decided to play in the water.

Our TN Trip.

We decided to take a trip to TN before Heath started his project in Springfield. Since I am pregnant, I don't think I will be able to fly with Mason, the car seat, and all the bags by myself so we thought we better go in for a week while we had the chance. I have to say this was one of the best trips...warm weather, finally realizing what helps Mason sleep, and lots of memories. Mason enjoyed playing outside so we spent the majority of time outside. Here are lots of pictures from our trip.

Just wondering around outside.

Taking a walk with daddy.

time flies.

I just noticed it has been almost two weeks since my last post. Time goes by so fast. We have been busy these past couple of weeks. We spend most of our time outside enjoying the warmer weather. Then we had a trip to Tennessee. We really enjoyed this trip to Tennessee, no sickness like last time. The weather was great so Mason was able to run around outside....showing off all his little moves and all his energy. We went to the zoo and had a little party with family and friends for Mason....pictures coming soon! We came back from our trip, and Heath had to go to Springfield for a few days...and I end up sick. No fun, especially when I had 100 things to do this week. Heath is moving to Springfield this weekend to start another project, so we had lots of packing to do. We are going to go down with Heath for a little while, so internet will be limited for me while there....(another reason I will be behind with blogging). We hope to spend lots of time in Springfield this summer....finding all the activities Mason can enjoy. So keep checking back for all the pictures of our adventures! :)

flossing.

Yes, Mason is flossing.
Now that means the floss is just in his mouth,
but he thinks he is big stuff.

I think he even tried to floss Maci Dog's teeth.
Mason likes to brush his teeth.
We don't have to fight him,
he will actually ask to brush,
usually he will ask a couple times a day.

so sweet.

Heath took this picture a couple days ago. I was glad he was able to
capture Mason sleeping, it's just so sweet. This picture reminds me how big Mason is getting...he is becoming our little boy more and more. He still sleeps in his crib, he really loves his crib (yes, we know this from experience, take Mason away from this crib and he doesn't sleep). Even though he likes to climb on everything, he hasn't attempted to climb out of the crib yet. I think the crib is his comfort zone, and plus he likes to sleep. He usually lets us know when he wants to take a nap or go to bed, he will grab his "blankie" and milk...and off he goes to his room.

More Football.

His stance after a big throw to daddy.
Throw to mommy....caught in action.
Our little kicker.

Dirt time.

I am so glad it's Spring!
We can play outside now...which helps when
you have a very active little boy.
I brought Mason's shovels, rakes, and buckets outside so
we could play in the dirt.
Our neighbor, Faith, came over to play in the dirt with Mason.
He dumped dirt on his head, in his shoes,
down his belly, and even on Faith...
(my bathtub was brown after his bath)

I love the simple stuff that keeps their attention....
a pile of dirt, a bucket, and a shovel.

Car Show.

We took Mason to a Car Show near our house on Friday night.
Of course, he found Faith.
Just thinking...
doesn't he look like a little boy with
his haircut?
With Daddy.
We ate hot fudge sundaes and french fries,
and Mason was happy about that.
Then the music started....
and Mason put on a show.

Meet...

Woody.
Yes, Woody from Toy Story.
Mason has watched this movie just a couple times,
but Woody caught Mason's attention. Mason was
playing at our neighbor's house, and he found a Woody doll.
Mason just carried around Woody, just observing every little detail.
When I decided that the Paci was going "bye bye," I knew
Woody would be our helper.
We headed to Target to purchase Mason his own Woody doll.
We found one that Mason could take the hat off and on.
Mason with Woody.
However, Woody didn't survive past lunch. I tried to fix Woody,
but his head would not stay on. Mason kept saying "uh oh head."
Saturday morning, we went to get Mason a plush Woody doll.
We thought it would last longer. We went to the Disney store in the Mall.
No Woody. In fact, you had to be on a waiting list for Woody. (Not good,
when you are taking the PACI!) So we went to a different Target, no
plush Woody...only Jessie and Buzz. A little panic started to set in. We traded
Woody for the Paci and now we didn't have Woody. We went to Toys R Us.
First aisle of Toy Story toys...no Woody. Seriously, I was starting to
think of a way to make Woody. Then I saw Woody. YES!
Then I saw the price tag, gulp. We did decide to get Woody, and let me
just say it was worth every penny. Mason has went to bed
for every nap and every night with Woody since we purchased Woody...
one week and 2 days ago.
(We took the Paci Friday April 1st)
He will randomly ask for "My Paci" but we just keep saying it went bye bye.
Mason has done really well without the Paci. I was worried about
taking it (the reason I kept putting it off.) It is nice to be Paci free though!

thank you.

We went to Walmart on Saturday to pick up a couple things.
Heath was looking at car cleaning products. Mason
found two flashlights that he wanted. He walked over to Heath's basket,
and he dropped the flashlights in. Heath looked down to see what Mason
was doing. Mason looked up and said "Thank You." Then, he just walked away.

Football.

Mason likes to play ball.
Mason was playing football with daddy and our neighbors.

Getting ready for the big throw.
Throwing the ball to daddy.
Every time Heath would throw the ball, Mason
would say "Whoooa."
