teeth.

Mason has been sleeping a lot this past week....he hasn't been whiny, just clingy to me. Tonight, Heath was playing with Mason, and he saw the two teeth on the top! One has already broken skin and the other one, (maybe more) is getting close. At Christmas, his two bottom teeth came in, and we wondered how long before more. We had our family pictures made (post soon)...we actually had a couple good ones....of course I bought more of just Mason. I really don't know what we are going to do with all the pictures of him. We went over to some friends' house for dinner last night. Mason put on a show...he actually stood for Katie for a few seconds. YAY.

busy.

Yesterday, I realized how much stuff I have to do before we go to TN. I kept thinking I had two weeks....but nope only one! Time goes by soooo fast. I took Maci this morning to get her hair cut, she really needed it. Tonight, we are doing family pictures. We have only had family pictures made once, and they were not great. So we are going to try it again. I have to finish all my school assignments before we come in. (Yikes!) Then get EVERYTHING ready to come in...which this flight should be interesting since Mason does not want to sit still for 2 seconds. It wears us out just trying to get ready to come in....so COME SEE US!! Mason has been sleeping 12 to 13 hours at night...for the last couple of nights....but now he doesn't want to take a nap...I don't know if I like this. Today is my dad's birthday and Heath's Nana's birthday....Happy Birthday! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD/ PAPAW! We wish we could spend it with you!
"I want what you are eating"
Mason is making his list....(it's a Maserati)

birds chirping.

I thought Tennessee weather was crazy....but I think that Kansas weather is even crazier. Friday, I took my parents to the airport...I didn't even wear a coat. Saturday morning we woke up to around 5 inches of snow! Now, today (Tuesday) it's in the 60s, and I can hear all the birds chirping :) I know everyone is ready for warm weather...but then when it is over 100 out here, I will be complaining it's too hot to take Mason out! Now I'm starting my search of things to do in the warm weather for Mason. If you have any good ideas, just let me know!

My Gym

"My Gym has developed an extraordinary program and facility devised to help children 6 weeks thru 13 years of age develop physically, cognitively and emotionally. We have over 200 locations in more than 25 countries offering structured, age-appropriate, weekly classes that incorporate music, dance, relays, games, special rides, gymnastics, sports and more. Children have loads of fun as they gain strength, balance, coordination, agility and flexibility while developing social skills, confidence and self-esteem." (From My-Gym.com)

Basically it gives Mason, who is constantly moving, a chance to explore and play with really cool stuff. Every week they change the layout of the gym so it is different. We have a circle time for warm up activities...then free play...then different areas set up for certain activities...more free play...then separation time from Mommy (or whoever brings the child)...then we have a short story time...then the goodbye song. My parents were able to attend a class with us. Not only did they get to see Mason having tons of fun, but they were able to take pictures for me. Mason takes a long nap after My Gym!
Crawling through a rolling ball.
Climbing stairs...he is getting faster & faster.
ZIP LINE AIRPLANE! I love the Zip Line :)

it doesn't get easier...

People said that it would get easier when we left TN or people left from visiting us. BUT THEY LIED. I don't think it will ever get "easy" telling my parents "bye" because I will always miss them. We did have a good week though. Mason put on a show, but by the end of the week he was getting tired. He loves his new car. I think my dad wore out our floors pushing him around. Maci dog hasn't moved off the couch since they left....she is wore out! Mason is going to miss all the attention, and I'm going to miss having more help. It was nice to watch someone else try to change Mason's diaper while he rolls around. He doesn't want to be still....not for one second. I will post pictures of their visit soon.

charmer :)

My parents are spending the week with us...Mason is keeping them VERY busy. The first day, my mom tried to change Mason's diaper (but he can't be still)...it took her a couple minutes of rolling him around. The whole time my mom tried to change his diaper, Mason just giggled. It was sooo cute!
We were just "trying" out this toy at Toys R' Us...but look at that smile.
Yep, it came home with us :)
...and his Pa said he needed a chicken.
How many does it take? (Even Maci is watching!ha)

9 MONTHS!!

People say that your children grow up fast...
and the past 9 months have already flown by.
It just doesn't seem that we should be thinking about
Mason's First Birthday soon! AHH!

-He can make a fish face.
-And, he is starting to stick out his tongue every time he smiles.
-He likes to play on my iPhone (there are games on the iPhone for him,

Outside?!

The weather has been so pretty this weekend. Mason is finally getting to go outside. Yesterday, we took Mason to Zona Rosa. (www.zonarosa.com) This is one of the outdoor malls close to where we live. Today, we took Mason and Maci dog to the park. We have a busy week ahead of us. My parents are coming out on Saturday. (YAY! I’m hoping they are resting up…so they can keep up with Mason!) Oh, and if you don’t have a Kirby Vacuum then you should think about purchasing one. We really like it.

My Gym

We just attended our first class at My Gym. It was a lot of fun. Here’s what we did….Mason went down a slide. He bounced with me on a trampoline. They have indoor swings, hanging from the ceiling; this was great because he LOVES to swing. We played in a ball pit. Mason “walked” (the instructor helping moving his feet) on a balance beam. Mason rode in a rocking boat. He rode a “police car” down a ramp. He did a headstand. He played with instruments…AND SOOO MUCH MORE. Wow. There is some really neat classes for 3 months to school age, and I am enjoying as much as I can with Mason right now. It is so neat to see the excitement in his eyes. I would recommend this place to anyone with younger children. (They even do birthday parties.)  GO...HAVE FUN! :)

Mohawk Man

SUNSHINE....finally. I don't know how long it is going to last, but I'm enjoying the sunshine. It's funny how the temperature has been high 30's, low 40's and I thought it was hot outside. I even debated wearing a coat. I am going to the Just Between Friends sale tomorrow. I hope that I can find Mason some summer clothes and maybe a few outdoor toys. YAY for summer!
Mason and Heath came to visit me on lunch.....Mason is starting to get more hair so Heath fixed it.
Why buy toys? Mason would rather play with the newspaper...boxes...or anything that isn't a TOY!
My first Chicken Parmesan...I was pretty proud :)
